Knowledge is power.
Trends, customers, and marketing tactics are forever changing. That’s why it’s important to continue learning as much as you can about the things that power your business.
Continuing education classes take both time and money. Something I don’t have.
That’s why I love listening to Podcasts!
Not all Podcasts are created equal. Some have terrible sound. Others have terrible lessons. So, I’ve decided to share a few of my favorite Podcasts.
Warning: Podcast Binging possible past this point.
HotCopy Podcast with Kate Toon and Belinda Weaver
I can’t say enough good things about this Podcast. If you’re a copywriter and NOT listening, you’re seriously missing out! Kate and Belinda share the ins-and-outs of copywriting from their personal experience. You can learn about the important, must-have information to put on your website. How to deal with rejection and improve yourself afterward. They even share advice on how to find copywriting clients.
Smarter Freelancing with Ed Gandia
The Smarter Freelancing Podcast is great for anyone working as a Freelancer. There is so much information out there on the web about Freelancing. It can get a bit overwhelming. Well, for me it does. Ed talks about topics like how to stay motivated with your business. Learning to spot bad clients before things get out of hand. One of my favorite episodes was on using LinkedIn to grow your business.
Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield
If you run an online business, learning how to market that business is crucial. The Online Marketing Podcast teaches listeners how to grow their email list. You'll learn tips for starting a webinar. Amy also talks about topics such as how to handle online criticism. If you’re thinking of starting a webinar, this one is a MUST listen.
Build Your Tribe with Chalene Johnson
I discovered Chalene because of her home workout, Piyo. She has an upbeat, fun personality that carries over to her Podcast. This Podcast will help you learn things like how to increase your Instagram reach. You can also learn tips for rebranding your business. If you struggle with your social media marketing, this is a great Podcast to listen to. She keeps things real and isn’t afraid to tell you what you’re doing wrong in your business.
The Copywriter Podcast: With Kira Hug and Rob Marsh
This copywriting duo teamed up to teach others everything they know. The Copywriter Club Podcast focuses on topics that keep us writers up at night. They share tips on improving your sales skills and finding your niche. Kira and Rob also have a Copywriting group page on Facebook.
Even if you aren’t a Copywriter, these Podcasts still offer valuable information. They can teach you everything you need to know to be successful in your business. In fact, my business has really grown since I’ve started listening to these shows. If Podcasts aren’t your thing, just make sure you continue to learn the tricks of your trade.
